»ã±¨È˼ò½é(Ó¢ÎÄ)£ºDr.Dave Langstaff gained his first degree in electronic engineering at Southampton University, with a final year project developing an automated test system for characterisation of semiconductor devices produced in the Microelectronics Group. He went on to work in the Microelectronics Group at Southampton, working for the Wolfson Industrial Unit and the SERC funded Design Centre at Southampton there as well as a work with CAD data preparation for Electron Beam Lithography for custom silicon devices. He moved to Aberystwyth in 1990 on a LINK funded project to design an Integrated Circuit to implement a Charge Detector Array for applications in Mass Spectroscopy. Following the successful conclusion of the project, he joined a project to further develop the detector array concept for applications in Electron Spectroscopy. He was appointed as Senior Experimental Officer to CAFMaD in 2006 and has subsequently led a number of instrumentation projects in IMAPS including an imaging ellipsometer for study of surface films; an ionisation detector for flame front monitoring, a dipping furnace for in-situ x-ray studies of ceramics and an aerodynamic levitating furnace for study of high temperature liquids.
