Introduction

China today completed a phase of industrialization and urbanization in just a few decades which cost nearly a hundred years for Western, and is experiencing rapid urbanization and social transition.As one of the important changes of contemporary Chinese society, issues related to urbanization and urbanization process get more and more attention by scholars.In this process, with the expansion of urban and the continuous influx of migrant population of the city, not only to give a new vitality to city, also brings unprecedented problems, which caused more and more new subjects worthy of study.

At the same time, when we inspectthe process of urbanization in China, the issues that discussed or are discussing in the West we focus on will contribute to open a cross-cultural research perspective for us.This is a new field, not only utilize sociology knowledge to understand immigration, urban and other issues under the background of cultural differences, but also strive to obtain better understanding of Western sociological theory, and seek the commonality in order to extension existing sociology theory.

The forum aims to create opportunities for international academic exchanges, promote exchanges and cooperation between China and France among young postgraduates. By discussions and jointly guidance and comments from professors from China and France form collision cross-cultural thinking and create new understanding.
