Technical writing in English is perceived to be difficult especially by non-English speakers. However, the difficult parts are the research behind the article and the structure and organization of the article rather than the language. Technical articles supported by solid research can always be published. Motivations for research and technical writing are discussed. The structure and organization of a technical article are emphasized. The major sections in a technical paper are outlined. Cautions and caveats are mentioned. Some techniques in word processing are also presented.
