Artificial intelligence has come into our daily lives. Machine learning is a way to generate intelligence artificially and mathematical optimization models may lead machines to learn knowledge from data. This talk presents some thoughts on developing useful mathematical optimization models for elaborative machine learning such as support vector machines and deep neural networks.
